Pottery and ceramics reward the hand and the eye alike — the weight of a well-thrown bowl, the depth of a reduction glaze, the mark of the maker at the foot. Our Pottery & Ceramics collection spans studio pottery, porcelain, stoneware and art ceramics, from functional vessels to purely sculptural work. Each piece is described by its medium, dimensions and condition, with maker, pottery or marks identified where they can be read; where a mark is unattributed, we note it as such. We favor work with genuine craft behind it — honest glazes, considered form, and the small irregularities that distinguish a hand-made object from a manufactured one.
